Kevin Martone
is an avid writer who gained a wealth of business writing and editing
experience during seven years as a consultant at Deloitte Consulting.
Kevin's work for Deloitte included translating technical specifications
to user-friendly documentation and creating business plans. Kevin
also created, managed, and edited numerous documents for effective
knowledge transfer to clients. Outside of work, Kevin wrote a weekly
fantasy football electronic newsletter, DTFL Update, for several
years.
Now writing
full-time, Kevin is working on several projects. He is the current
Siena College Saints Men's Basketball team beat writer for www.collegehoopsnet.com.
Kevin also covered the 2003 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament East
Regional and 2004 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Tournament
for the website. Kevin is also currently preparing a set of humorous
sports columns and hopes to find a place to show them to the world.
In addition,
Kevin is working on two novels and four screenplays, as well as
a book about the fantasy sports obsession. Kevin and co-author Catherine
Hyde Townsend are seeking agent representation for Work
Sucks Anyway: Fun, Practical Ways to Make the Most of Unemployment.
This book offers funny, slice of life stories and insights
from those who have survived joblessness to help the unemployed
use their time wisely and turn their time out of work into a blessing
rather than a curse.
Most recently,
Kevin's non-fiction short story "Bait and Switch" can
be found in "Chicken Soup for the Fisherman's Soul."
Kevin obtained
his B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from
Cornell University, graduating with distinction.
